Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board has announced the syllabus for the preliminary examination of Agricultural Scientist Vacancy. The exam will be conducted on  29-12-2013. The interested candidates can download the test pattern & syllabus through the below given pdf file link.

Preliminary Exam Pattern :- It consists of one paper. It contains 150 multiple choice questions Each question is of one marks & these marks will be concluded in the final selection list.

Preliminary Test Syllabus :-

• Agriculture Biotechnology - Cell Structure & Function, Biomolecules & metabolism, enzymology, molecules genetics, gene expression, molecular biology techniques, gene cloning, Molecular biology, plant molecular biology, tissue culture, plant genetics engineering, molecular maker & genomics.
• Agriculture Entomology - Systematics, morphology, embryology-interanatomy & physiology, ecology, biological control, chemical control & toxicology, host plant resistance, innovative approaches in pest control, integrated pest management, pesticides application equipment, pests of field crops & their management, pests of horticultural control, pests of stored products, honey bees & bees-keeping, silkworms & sericulture, lac insects.
• Genetics & Plants - General genetics & plant breeding, economic botany & plant breeding methods, genome organisation, quantitative & biometrical genetics, biotechnological tool, nutrition quality, field plots quality.

Negative Marking :- There will be 1/3rd marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in pre exam.
