APPSC Panchayat Secretary (Grade-IV) Written Test Syllabus & Examination Pattern

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has announced the syllabus & scheme of examination for Panchayat Secretary in A.P. Panchayat Raj Subordinate Service. The written examination will be conducted on date 23rd February, 2014. Instruction about test like cut off marks, answer keys, negative marking, schedule of exam etc are given below.

Pattern of Question Paper - It consists of two paper. 

• First Paper (General Studies) - 150 Questions - 150 Marks - 150 Minutes (Duration of Paper)
• Second Paper (Rural Development & Problems in Rural Areas -A.P) - 150 Questions - 150 Marks - 150 Minutes (Duration of Exam)

General Studies Paper Syllabus :-

• Event of National & International importance.
• Current Affairs - International, National & Regional.
• Current Developments in Science, Technology & International Technology.
• History of Modern India with special emphasis upon Indian National Movement.
• Economic Development in India Science Independence.
• Logical reasoning, analytical ability & data interpretation.
• Basic things about disaster management (CBSE-VIII & IX)

Rural Development & Problem in Rural Areas with special reference to Andhra Pradesh Syllabus :-

• Public Health & Sanitation, Prevention of epidemics, hygiene behavior, village development.
• Social tensions & conflicts in contemporary society - problem of deprived group.
• Indian System of Democracy - Democratic Institution, Panchayat Raj Cooperative Society in the Service of Rural Areas, their role & their effectiveness.
• Rural Economy & Development - scientific development relevant to rural area - labour saving device.
• Basic aspects related to accounting.
