Odisha Staff Selection Commission has recently announced the plain of examination for Industries Promotion Officer posts. The candidates can check all the details of exam through the below given information.. Other related details cut off marks, negative marking, results etc are given below.

Plain of Examination :-

• Preliminary Examination (Qualifying Test) - 400 Marks
• Main Written Test - 300 Marks
• Viva-Voce Test - 30 Marks

Preliminary Examination Pattern :- It pre paper comprises of 100 marks with 400 marks of One Hour duration. Each question is of 4 marks. It is only a qualifying exam. For each wrong answer, one mark will be deducted.

Preliminary Test Syllabus :-

• General Science
• Current Events
• Geography
• Economics Planning & Development
• India Polity
• Basic Knowledge in Engineering
• Arithmetic (HSC Standard)
• Test of Reasoning

Main Written Examination Pattern :- Candidates in the ratio of up to 12 times of number of post of each category will b short listed to be appear in the main examination. 

• Paper - I :- General English & Odia Language - 100 marks - 2 hours duration (Descriptive Type)
• General English (Grammar, Composition, Comprehension, Precis, Essay) - 50 marks - 1 hour
• Odia Language (Grammar, Essay/Letter, Comprehension, Retranslation) - 50 marks - 1 hour

Paper - II :- Technical Subject (OMR) - 100 marks - 2 hours

• The question paper cover the basic knowledge of Engineering & enterpreneurship management concept prescribed for 1st & 2nd semester, for degree/diploma engg such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Mechanics, Basic Electrical Engineering, Thermodynamics, Industrial & Personal management.
