Union Public Service Commission has published the Scheme of Examination for the Posts of Central Armed Police Force (Assistant Commandant) in BSF/CRPF/CISF recently. The examination date is not fixed yet. Those friends who have registered can check the syllabus & pattern of question paper in this post. Paper-I : General Ability & Intelligence - 250 Marks - The questions in this paper will be objective (Multiple Answers) type in which the question will be set in English ad well as in Hindi Language.

• General Mental Ability - Logical Reasoning, quantitative aptitude including numerical ability & data interpretation.
• General Science - General Awareness, Scientific Temper, comprehension & appreciation of Scientific phenomenon in everyday observation including new areas of importance like Information  Technology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science.
• Current Events of National & International Importance - Currents events of National & International importance in the broad areas of culture, music, art, literature, sports, governance, societal & development issue, industry, business, globalization & interplay among nations.
• Indian Polity & Economy - Knowledge of Country Political system& the constitution of India, Social System & public administration, economy development in India, regional & international security issues & human rights including the indicator.
• History of India - Social, Economic & political aspects, Area of growth of nationalism & freedom movement.
• Indian & World Geography - Physical, Social & Economic aspects of geography pertaining to India & the World.

Paper-II : General Studies, Essay & Comprehension - 200 Marks

• In this paper candidate will be allowed the option of writing the Essay Components in English & Hindi, but  the medium of Precis Writing, Comprehension components & other communication/language skills will be English only.

Cut Off Marks : There will be minimum qualification marks separated in each paper as may be fixed by the commission in their discretion. Paper-I will be evaluated first & evaluation of paper-II will be done only of those candidates who obtained the minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I.
