Staff Selection Commission has decided to conduct the Examination for the posts of Junior Engineer on 25th May, 2014. Those candidates who are going to appear in the exam can check the syllabus, scheme of exam through the information provided below.
The examination will be conducted in the two stages -
Civil Engineering Syllabus - Building material, Estimating, Costing & Evaluation, Surveying, Soil Mechanic, Hydraulics, Irrigation Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering.
Structural Engineering Syllabus - Theory of Structure, Concrete Technology, RCC Design, Steel Design.
Electrical Engineering Syllabus - Basic Concepts, Circuit Law, Magnetic Circuit, AC Fundamentals, Measurement & Measuring Instruments, Electrical Machine, Fractional Kilowatt Motors & Single Phase Induction Motors, Synchronous Machine, Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Estimation Costing, Utilization of Electrical Energy.

- Interview - 100 Marks
- Paper-I (Objective Type) - General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Part A/B/C General Engineer (Civil & Structural/Electrical/Mechanical) - 200 Marks (50+50+100)
- Paper-II (Conventional Type) - Part-A General Engineer (Civil & Structural)/Part-B General Engineer (Electrical)/Part-C General Engineer (Mechanical) (300 Marks)
