Indian School of Mines was established in 1926 as a Premier Institute in the Country for teaching Mining & Geology. In 1967, the Institution was granted the Deemed University Status under University Grant Commission Act 1956 & subsequently was placed under MHRD, Government of India, in 1996. Premier Institute of Mineral Science & technology in the country celebrated its Platinum Jubilee in December 2001.

ISM is located at Dhanbad in the state of Jharkhand. The campus cover an area of 88 hectares (208 acres) & is composed of graceful blend of Old & New style building for its academic departments, hostels, faculty, staff quarters in the peaceful surrounding right with in the district town of Dhanbad.

Eligibility Criteria :-

• Educational Qualification - B.Sc with at least 55% aggregate marks, without rounding off for General Category & 50% marks for sc/st category.

Application Procedure : Before applying, the candidate must have these items - email Id, Mobile No., scanned photograph (<50 kb), scanned signature (<20 kb) & Credit card/Atm Cum Debit Card/ Net Banking. Then click on the apply online link & fill the all valid requited details. The application form can also be filled through offline mode by downloading the application form through the official website. The candidate have to pay the fees through system generated fees chalan & finally send the application along photocopy of all certificates & mark sheets to "Assistant Registrar (Academic), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad - 826004, Jharkhand before 17th April, 2015.
