Department of Posts, Office of Chief Postmaster General has decided to conduct the written examination for the posts of Postman & Mail Guard job. The test will be conducted on 21st December, 2014. Part	Syllabus
A - General Knowledge (25 Marks with 25  Questions of 1 Mark)	Topics - Geography, Indian History, Freedom Struggle, Culture & Sports, General Politics & Constitution, Economics, General Science, Current Affairs & Reasoning & General Ability of 10th Standard (2 to 3 Question from each topics)
B - Mathematics (25 Marks with 25  Questions of 1 Marks)	Topics - Number System, Computation of Whole No., Decimal & Fraction, Relationship between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical Operation, Percentage Ratio & Proportion, Profit & Loss & Simple Interest, Average, Discount, Partnership, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Use of Tables & Graph Mensuration (1-2 Questions From each topic)
C-I - English (25 Marks with 25  Questions of 1 Mark)	Topics - Articles, Conjunctions, Tenses, verbs, Synonyms, Antonyms, Vocabulary, sentence structure, proverbs, Phrases, question from a small unseen passage (Five Question from unseen passage) & 2-3 Question from remaining topics.
C-II Hindi (25 Marks with 25  Question of 1 Mark)	Topics (for Hindi) - Shabd Pad, Kriya Bhed, Mishr & Sanyukt Vakya, Vakyo Ka Rupantran, Swar Sandhi, Alankar, Samas, Muhavara & Lokoktiyan, Ashudh Vakya Shodhan, Apathit Gadyansh. (5 Questions from One Apathit Gadyansh & 2-3 Question from remaining topics)

Cut Off Marks/Qualifying Marks :-

• Unreserved Category - 40 % Marks from 100 Marks & 10 Marks from each section.
• OBC Category - 37 %  Marks from 100 & 9 Marks from each section.
• SC/ST Category - 33 % marks from 100 & 8 Marks from each section.
