A. The written examination shall be held in the following manner :- 
Compulsory subject  
1. English (Essay & Precise writing etc) - 100 Marks 
2. General Knowledge - 100 Marks 
Optional subject 
Any two of the following subjects (one paper each subject) - 200 Marks (each paper) 
i) Agriculture 
ii) Botany 
iii) Chemistry 
iv) Computer Applications/ Computer Science 
v) Engineering (Agricultural/ Chemical/ Civil/ Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical) 
vi) Environmental Science 
vii) Forestry 
viii) Geology 
ix) Horticulture 
x) Mathematics 
xi) Physics 
xii) Statics 
xiii) Veterinary Science 
xiv) Zoology 
(The standard of these subjects shall be that of a Bachelor's Degree) 
Note :- No candidate shall be allowed to take more than one subject from the following groups : 
i) Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering & Veterinary Science 
ii) Chemical Engineering & Chemistry 
iii) Computer Applications/Computer Science & Computer Engineering 
iv) Electrical Engineering & Electronics Engineering 
v) Mathematics & Statistics 
 
B. Interview :- 
The Commission shall conduct an interview for the candidates who qualify in the written examination. The maximum marks for the interview shall be 75.</div>

Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has published the notice for the vacancy of Forest Ranger Posts recently. There are total 45 Posts. Eligibility Criteria :- 
 
<ul style="text-align: left;">
<li>Educational Qualification :- The candidate must possess Bachelor's Degree in Science/ Engineering or Equivalent.</li>
<li>Age Limit :- From 21 to 38 Years</li>
</ul>

Application Procedure :- 
1. The candidate first have to download the app. form. 
2. Two copies of recent passport size photograph duly signed by the applicant. 
3. Certificate of age issued by respective Boards in HSCL onwards (self attested copy). 
4. Certificates & Marksheets of all educational qualification from HSCL onwards (self attested copy). 
5. Caste Certificates belonging to SC/STP/STH/OBC/MOBC from the appropriate authorities. 
6. Then pay the fee if given in advertisement. 
7. Take a printout of conformation page for future use.  
 
Selection Procedure :- The candidate must be selected on the basis of Written Test, Physical Test & Interview.
