APSC Forest Ranger Previous Year Paper Pattern/Scheme of Examination

Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is going to conduct the written examination for the post of forest ranger. Those friends who are going to appear in the examination must check out the syllabus & scheme of examination. This is really helpful in their preparation.Related queries like cut off marks, answer key, result etc are provided below.

A. The written examination shall be held in the following manner :-
Compulsory subject 
1. English (Essay & Precise writing etc) - 100 Marks
2. General Knowledge - 100 Marks
Optional subject
Any two of the following subjects (one paper each subject) - 200 Marks (each paper)
i) Agriculture
ii) Botany
iii) Chemistry
iv) Computer Applications/ Computer Science
v) Engineering (Agricultural/ Chemical/ Civil/ Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical)
vi) Environmental Science
vii) Forestry
viii) Geology
ix) Horticulture
x) Mathematics
xi) Physics
xii) Statics
xiii) Veterinary Science
xiv) Zoology
(The standard of these subjects shall be that of a Bachelor's Degree)
Note :- No candidate shall be allowed to take more than one subject from the following groups :
i) Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering & Veterinary Science
ii) Chemical Engineering & Chemistry
iii) Computer Applications/Computer Science & Computer Engineering
iv) Electrical Engineering & Electronics Engineering
v) Mathematics & Statistics

B. Interview :-
The Commission shall conduct an interview for the candidates who qualify in the written examination. The maximum marks for the interview shall be 75.
