Scheme of Examination :-
For Post - 1,3,4,5,7,8 - The test paper will be of 100 marks. The question paper will contain 100 objective type multiple choice questions each question carry One mark.
  • Language Proficiency Test - 10 Questions
  • Language Proficiency Test Punjabi (10th Level) - 10 Questions
  • General Knowledge - 15 Questions
  • Computer Knowledge - 5 Questions
  • Mental Ability, Logical Reasoning & Arithmetic Skill - 20 Questions
  • Question as per Job requirement for concerned post - 40 Questions

For Post - 2,6,9,10,11,12,13,14 - Written test will be of 100 marks. The question paper contains 100 MCQs Questions.

  • General Knowledge - 30 Questions
  • Mental Ability, Logical Reasoning & Arithmetic Skill - 40 Questions
  • Computer Knowledge - 10 Questions
Important Points of Examination :-
  • The standard of the paper would be to test the knowledge as expected of a person who has attained education at least up to Graduation Level.
  • For post 1&2 , written test will be conducted first & thereafter an interview will be held by the committee (Weightage of Written Test - 85% & 15% of Interview). Final list will be prepared by combing the marks of written test & interview. Candidate equal  to three times of number of posts in respective category shall be called for interview.
  • For Post No. 3 to 14, written test will be conducted & merit list will be prepared on the basis of test marks only.
  • Before appointed, all the candidate who qualify the written test for the post of Steno-Typist shall also have to mandatory typing test as per above mentioned specification, to be conducted by PUNSUP, otherwise He/She will not be given appointment.
  • In case of nay tie between two or more candidate regarding marks obtained in merit list, the candidate will higher marks in qualifying examination (Post Graduate/Graduate) will be placed higher in merit.
  • In case of posts belonging to Sports Category, the merit list prepared by the Department of Sports, on basis of Graduation of Sportsperson from the list of successful candidates shall be applicable for determining the final list.
  • No candidates shall be considered to have qualified the competitive examination unless he/she obtains 45%  marks (40% for SC/ST Category).
  • All visual impaired category candidates appearing in the examination will be allowed an extra time of 20 minutes per hour. Thus the visual impaired category candidate will be allowed an extra time of 40 minutes for the examination.
  • No TA/DA will be admissible to the candidates for appearing in the test/interview.
